The University of Heidelberg Graduate Academy will again be awarding the following grants through the Excellence Initiative:

COMPLETION GRANTS
Doctoral students who require a maximum of a further 6 months to complete and submit their dissertation to their Faculty can apply for this grant. The grant amounts to a maximum of 1.000 € per month with a duration of not more than 6 months.
Application deadline: October 19th, 2012 / Earliest funding begin: January 2013

TRAVEL GRANTS
Doctoral students and postdocs can apply for this grants for participation in conferences, workshops and for short-term research trips in Germany and abroad. Funding up to a maximum of 1,500 € will be awarded for the reimbursement of travel and living expenses as well as for registration fees.
Application deadline: October 19th, 2012 / For trips starting from November 1, 2012

PUBLICATION GRANTS
Publication grants (for dissertations that are not suited to electronic publication) of up to a maximum of 3,000 € will be awarded to applicants with above-average qualifications who have completed their doctoral degree within the last 12 months at the University of Heidelberg.
Application deadline: October 19th, 2012/ Funding available in 2013
