- Learn about the Graduate Academy’s services, such as funding opportunities (e.g., the heiDOCS funding lines) as well as workshops and seminars tailored to your needs as a doctoral researcher (ongoing).
- Special guest: Nature Masterclasses – Harry Bridge and Ania Kwiatkowska from Nature will present the new Nature Masterclasses platform! You’ll get an overview of updates, new features, and the registration process, followed by a short Q&A session (starting at 1:30 pm, approx. 30 minutes).
- Join a guided tour of the KLF media room (available for booking for your science communication projects) (ongoing)!
- All doctoral researchers registered for the event will get free ice cream.
On European Doctoral Day we highlight the vital role of doctoral education and the impact of doctoral graduates as key agents of innovation. It is a day to recognise your role in helping society to navigate a rapidly changing world, and in shaping Europe’s scientific, economic, industrial and technological future.
We would also like to use this day to get your feedback on pursuing a doctorate at Heidelberg University. Tell us what makes doing a doctorate here special for you: What's going well? What do you like about the conditions here? Where do you think there's room for improvement? We're eager to hear your thoughts and suggestions, and we might even publish them if you're okay with it. We're also planning to take some photos and videos during the lunch break for the Graduate Academy's Instagram channel. If you'd prefer not to, no worries! Just let us know, and we'll be happy to provide a red sticker for you at the entrance so we can make sure you're not recognizable in the footage later on.
Join us on May 13 and make sure to register online (until May 6).
