„Getting Started on Your Doctorate“ am 11. Februar – Informationsveranstaltung für Doktoranden/innen

Liebe Doktorandinnen und Doktoranden,
wenn Promovierende zum ersten Mal an die Universität Heidelberg kommen, gibt es meistens viele Fragen, etwa zur Immatrikulation, zur Wohnungssuche, zu Versicherungen, Arbeitsverträgen, zur Finanzierung der Promotion, zu Sprachkursen und anderem mehr. Die Graduiertenakademie möchte Sie in Heidelberg begrüßen und Ihnen die Informationen an die Hand geben, die Sie besonders in der ersten Zeit vor Ort benötigen!
Daher laden wir Sie sehr herzlich zu unserer Veranstaltungsreihe „Getting Started on Your Doctorate“ (ehemals: „Welcome to Heidelberg“) ein. Unsere erste Veranstaltung in diesem Jahr findet am 11.02.2020 ab 16:00 Uhr, im Marsilius-Kolleg, Hörsaal und Foyer, Marsilius-Arkaden, Im Neuenheimer Feld 130.1, 69120 Heidelberg (Wegbeschreibung) statt!

“Getting Started on Your Doctorate” on February 11 – Reception and Information Session for Doctoral Students
Dear Doctoral Candidates,
If you are about to begin your doctoral studies at Heidelberg University you may have some important questions about things like financing your doctoral project, the differences between individual training and doctoral studies in a structured program or possible career options after completing your degree. In our series of „Getting Started on Your Doctorate“ (former title: “Welcome to Heidelberg“) orientation events, the Graduate Academy offers answers to these and many other questions and we warmly encourage all new doctoral students to attend one of these meetings in 2020. As young researchers, you will receive information about the Graduate Academy, our advising services and career development programs and about funding opportunities. Other university facilities will also present their services for doctoral students and be available to answer your questions. During the reception, you will have the opportunity to talk about individual questions in small groups and to get to know other doctoral students.
Our first event in 2020 will take place on February 11, 2020 at 4:00 pm at the Marsilius-Kolleg, lecture hall and lounge, Marsilius-Arkaden, Im Neuenheimer Feld 130.1, 69120 Heidelberg (location and directions).
