BioContact e.V., Heidelberg: CONTACT2009 – Job Fair for the Life Sciences

Date: March 10th, 2009, 10 am – 5 pm

The Graduate Academy of Heidelberg University will again be present at CONTACT2009 with a fair stand. Here, graduates can obtain information on opportunities for doctoral projects in the life sciences as well as on the services in advising, support and training available for doctoral candidates and postdocs. The Graduate Academy will offer a short presentation within the fair’s lecture program: Lecture Hall 2 (1st floor), 12 pm.

The main objective of this fair is to bring together scientists from various aspects of the natural sciences, medical graduates / medicine students, and laboratory assistants with representatives from the industry. A relaxed atmosphere allows you to clarify questions in a direct dialogue, exchange information and establish first personal ties. Numerous companies from the biotech, pharma and consulting sector as well as science-publishers and start-ups will present interesting information on career entry and vacancies. Concomitantly, a broad range of presentations will illustrate the multifaceted aspects of professional orientation within the life-science sector and highlight future prospects. Various workshops shall provide intensive information on “career entry” and useful “insider-tips” enabling you to be optimally prepared for job interviews with human resource managers. In addition, a free resume-check will be offered to help you refine your application dossier.
