Doctoral Convention (DC) - Call for Candidates

Der Doktorandenkonvent ist das Vertretungsgremium aller Doktoranden* der Universität Heidelberg und hat gegenüber verschiedenen Universitätsgremien eine beratende und empfehlende Funktion in allen Fragen und Entscheidungsprozessen, welche die Doktoranden* betreffen.
Der neue Vorstand des Konvents wird während der universitätsweiten Vollversammlung gewählt, welche am Mittwoch, den 13.11.2019 um 19:00 Uhr in INF227 3.403/4 stattfindet.
Für den neuen Vorstand braucht es engagierte Doktoranden*, die wir hiermit zur Kandidatur für die Vorstandssitze aufrufen.
Die Frist für Bewerbungen ist der 29.10.2019.
Der Vorstand des Konvents besteht hat 11 Sitze:
je zwei Sitze für die vier Wissenskulturen
- Geisteswissenschaften,
- Lebenswissenschaften,
- Naturwissenschaften,
- Sozialwissenschaften
und drei Sitze für die verschiedenen Promotionsarten
- Individualpromotion,
- Promotion als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter,
- Promotion im Rahmen eines Graduiertenprogramms.
Nähere Informationen zum Ablauf der Wahl, zu den Definitionen von Wissenskulturen und Promotionsarten sowie den Aufgaben des Vorstands findest du in der Geschäftsordnung des Doktorandenkonvents oder allgemein auf unserer Internetseite.
Wenn du ein/e von der Fakultät angenommene/r Doktorand/in bist und gerne kandidieren möchtest, schicke uns bitte die folgenden Informationen zu deiner Person an doktorandenkonvent@uni-heidelberg.de:
- vollständiger Name,
- Fakultät,
- Promotionsbereich,
- Promotionsart.

Call for Candidature – Get involved in university politics for all doctoral candidates!
The Doctoral Convention (“Doktorandenkonvent”) is the representation of all doctoral candidates at Heidelberg University and, in its core function, advises several university committees in all matters related to doctoral candidates.
During the General Assembly – on Wednesday, 13th of November 2019, 7pm in INF227 3.403 – the new executive committee will be elected.
Therefore, committed doctoral candidates are needed and we herewith call for candidatures for the new executive committee of the Doctoral Convention.
The deadline for your application is 29 of October 2019.
The executive committee consists of 11 seats:
Two for each field of study (“Wissenskultur”)
- Humanities
- Life Sciences
- Natural Sciences
- Social Sciences
and three seats for each form of doctorate (“Promotionsarten”)
- Individual Doctorate
- Doctorate as an Academic Employee
- Doctorate at a Graduate School
More information about election procedures, the definitions of “Wissenkultur” and “Promotionsart”, as well as about tasks and duties of the executive committee, you find in the rules of procedure (german only) or more general information on our website.

Liebe Doktoranden,
aufgrund der hohen Nachfrage haben wir einen weiteren Termin für das Steuer-Seminar mit unserem Kooperationspartner MLP Finanzberatung SE terminiert.. Das nächste Seminar findet am Freitag, den 18.10.2019 17:00-20:00 statt. Für 2019 sind vorerst keine weiteren Seminare geplant.
